Life should flow.
I am aware of the need to flow but sometimes things seem stuck. Instead of flowing there are times when it feels as if the garden hose of life is crammed full of mud, and everything seems jammed up.
My grandfather, who lived to 108, once told my dad when he was worried about saving enough money for his first car, “Son, you look worried about something. Let me tell you, if what you’re thinking about is something you can do something about, then do that. But if it’s something you can’t do anything about then let it go. Stop thinking about it and find something else that feels better to think about.”
Wise advice from a wise man who, at least to me, never seemed “trapped” by his thoughts.
