Start Anew
It’s easy to stay in your comfort zone but evolving isn’t always comfortable. Nature is always changing and evolving, but we humans often want things to stay the same, which goes against natural law.
The idea of keeping things the same has caused a lot of problems. Many people often rationalize their antiquated thinking to a “desire to keep everything the same.” And when you try to evolve often one of the biggest hurdles you encounter is the idea of damaging your reputation and your past identity.
Those who are connected to your past may have a tough time accepting you as something different. But when your desire to evolve is stronger than your desire to stay the same you move forward regardless of the damage left in your wake.
I wrote Start Anew, as well as Reputation Disguise which I will share with you later this month, as I was feeling this tug from those in my past. The bright side of dealing with turbulence that comes from evolving is that it pushes us to the places we want to go and helps to ensure we don’t “die with our music still in us.”
