Synchronicity is the occurrence of events that seem related but are not explained by conventional causality. For example, you might experience synchronicity if you think of someone right before they text you.

The term was popularized by Carl Jung. Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist, psychotherapist, psychologist and pioneering evolutionary theorist who founded the school of analytical psychology,

One of my favorite books, The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence by Deepak Chopra, discusses the potential of synchronicity.

The basic idea is that we are connected to everything that exists and everything that is yet to come. Synchronicities, or more familiar coincidences, can be recognized as containing precious clues about facets of our lives that require our attention.

As you become more aware of coincidences and their meanings, you begin to connect more and more with the underlying field of infinite possibilities. This is when the magic begins. This is when you achieve, as Deepak calls it, the spontaneous fulfillment of desire.

It has been game changing to bring synchronicities into my awareness and then be willing to see if those coincidences are sending me some type of message.

As I look back, I can see how so many synchronicities took place that led to some of the most important events in my life. From my spouse, my coaching career, buying certain houses etc. There always seemed to be coincidences that were played out that connected the dots to allow those things to happen.

Here is a synchronicity that happened over and over as I was evolving from coaching and deciding to move to the South of France and purchase a place there.

Although I was aware of the band Red Hot Chili Peppers, I never considered myself a huge fan. I like music but, as my loyal readers know, I LOVE lyrics even more. And I had never truly connected to any of the Chili Peppers songs.
